Online Registration has opened for the 10th season of Upward Basketball. Upward Basketball is a faith based league that is open to any boy or girl that lives in Atascosa County and is in the 1st – 6th grade. We have enjoyed the last nine seasons and have grown to over 200 players a season.
Practices will begin the week of Tuesday Jan. 17. Teams will practice for one hour each week. Games will begin on Saturday, Jan. 28 and continue through Saturday, March 4th.
The registration price is $70 per player with optional matching shorts for an additional $15.
Every player is required to attend one of the two Evaluation days. The first Evaluation day is Saturday Jan. 7 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Pleasanton High School Old Gym.
The second Evaluation day is Tuesday Jan. 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pleasanton High School Old Gym. The evaluations are not a tryout but a determination of each player’s skill at that time. This skill evaluation is used to help make the teams fair and competitive.
You can register at either evaluation days in person or register online at registration. upward.org/UPW83143.
The online deadline to register is Tuesday, Jan. 10 at noon. The final deadline is at the last Evaluation time. We are successful due to the great volunteers that coach, referee and help in a variety of other ways.
