The Feeding Fredonia Challenge came to a conclusion Friday. Local organizations and businesses displaying the gold posters were collecting nonperishable food items. Food may also be dropped off at any time in the vestibule off the parking lot of Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. in Fredonia. The vestibule is always open for that purpose. As this picture taken at the Fredonia Food Pantry Oct. 15 shows, the need is great. The Challenge is a community effort to help our neighbors navigate through some difficult times. The Pantry is open the third Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon. The next Food Pantry will be on Saturday, Nov. 19, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. More information, including the businesses and offices participating as drop-off sites during the Feeding Fredonia Challenge, can be found online at fredoniapres.org.
